Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Planosophy LLC (“Planosophy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a California limited liability company, collects, uses, and shares information in connection with Backprompter (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information — such as your email address and authentication details, provided directly or through Google sign-in.
- Content you submit — system prompts, agent configurations, uploaded files, and chat messages (“Your Content”), which we store to provide the Service.
- Usage data — such as feature usage, request counts, timestamps, and diagnostic logs used to operate and improve the Service.
- Payment information — when you purchase paid features or connect a Stripe account, payment details are collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, maintain, and operate the Service, including running your agents and storing your work;
- To authenticate you and secure your account;
- To process payments and manage billing;
- To monitor, troubleshoot, and improve reliability and performance;
- To communicate with you about the Service and respond to your requests;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use Your Content to train our own models.
3. AI Processing & Model Providers
When you interact with an agent, your prompt (and any attached context) is transmitted to a third-party large language model through our model-routing provider to generate a response. As noted above, we route requests only to providers operating under zero-data-retention terms, meaning your prompts and the resulting outputs are not retained by the model provider after your request is served. Your Content that you save within Backprompter (such as agent configurations and stored conversations) is retained by us as described in this Policy so that the Service functions.
4. Storage & Service Providers (Subprocessors)
We use trusted third parties to operate the Service. These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Firebase / Google Cloud | Authentication and storage of account data and Your Content |
| OpenRouter | Routing AI requests to model providers (under zero-data-retention terms) |
| Deepgram | Speech-to-text and text-to-speech for voice chat (under zero-data-retention terms) |
| Stripe | Payment processing and billing |
5. Cookies & Local Storage
We use cookies and browser local storage for essential purposes such as keeping you signed in and remembering your session and preferences. We do not use them to sell your data.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information and Your Content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated content (see “Your Rights”). We may retain limited information as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
7. Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. Sensitive credentials such as third-party API keys are stored encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any right, contact us at info@planosophy.info.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
12. Contact
